At the end of every Greater Cleveland ASTD program, we ask for your feedback on topics you would like to explore. By far, eLearning tops the list: What tools are available? How do I get started? Is it expensive?
In this informative and interactive program brought to you by Greater Cleveland's own Lori Klepfer and Peggy Goodell, we look at eLearning Tools and Truths to answer your questions so you can determine if your organization is ready for eLearning.
In Tools: we present questions and tips to help you analyze your business needs and explore eLearning tools that might be the right tool for your business needs - the right tool for the right job. Some of the tools we will discuss are:

In Truths: we explore some common myths and help you get to the truth. Evenly balanced between pros and cons, we will share our insights on some of the current criticisms:

- eLearning is too expensive
About Lori Klepfer
Last year's Greater Cleveland ASTD's president and this year's Executive Director, Lori is the founder of LJK Consulting, LLC. She has over eighteen years experience as an instructional designer, technical communicator, and learning strategist.
She has consulted with Fortune 1000 and middle-market companies within the greater Cleveland, OH and greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
For her clients, she has designed enterprise employee learning strategies; training and education programs; online help systems and information portals; documentation and publication strategies and products. Lori is fluent with many publishing and training development products including web-based training development tools and techniques.
About Peggy Goodell
Peggy Goodell is the current VP of Marketing for Greater Cleveland ASTD and works on the Change Management, Training & Development team for University Hospitals. The team is responsible for change management, training, instructional design, and communication for
IT systems and applications.
She has developed over 100 eLearning courses. Three of her eLearning courses won awards of Distinction and an award of Merit from the NEO (Northeast Ohio) Society for Technical Communication's Technical Writing competition.

Anyone interested in exploring eLearning tools or has questions about eLearning including Instructional Designers, Training Specialists, Training Managers, Learning & Development Specialists, and for those responsible for instructional design or training and development at any level and in all types of business.
